Assistant Program Manager

Position:           Seasonal (May-August)


  • Experience in Camping Ministry and Leadership

  • Demonstrated spiritual and emotional maturity

  • Demonstrate a passion for youth and the spiritually lost

  • Ability to work independently.   

  • Lifeguard, CPR, and Rockwall certification preferred, but not mandatory for hire


  • Keep campers safe emotionally, spiritually, and physical through appropriate interactions and supervision.

  • Attend no less than 40+ hours of training before camping season begins.  This includes Rockwall training, possibly lifeguard training, CPR, Child Protection Training, Child Abuse and Neglect, Leadership and Biblical Training. 

  • Assist with training and managing camping staff

  • Work with Program Manager to execute camping program including themes, curriculum, and policies. 

  • Train in water testing for Camp Christy in absence of managers

  • Assist Program Manager in social media presence. 

  • Attend professional growth opportunities through American Baptist Churches, Christian Camp and Conference Association, and other doctrinal sound organizations.

  • Camp Christy Board of Directors

  • Central Region Camping Director
